Happy Pink Saturday!

Welcome to Pink Saturday!
Please visit
Beverly
@
How Sweet the Sound
for more pink fun!

I wanted to share with you
these adorable
little egg cups.

They had them displayed
at
White Bear Antiques.

I am keeping my eye on them....
They start out at $30.00 each.
They are displayed
in a locked case.
So I didn't get to read
the markings.

Well, we survived
our last snowstorm
of February.
A quick 6 inches
that blew in sideways.
A total white-out!

My Dad had an appointment
at his cardiologist's office
right at the onset of the storm.

They thought it would be
a great idea for him to wear
a Holter Monitor
for 24 hours.

His first hour
consisted of power shopping
through Costco with me.
And his second
was trekking through
the  absolute white-out.
We did manage to
make it home
safely!

It will be interesting to see
if any of those things
had an effect on his heartbeat.

Jacob had a field trip
to an engineering college.
They weren't sure if it was
going to be called off or not -
of course, they went.
I had to worry about him
traveling on the freeway with
a school bus driver......

He texted me that he was
going to get back to school late,
and he would need to be
picked up.
Figures.

I thought well,
as long as we are out,
I might as well
run to Target.

We decided Sloppy Joes
would be great for supper.
I had hamburger thawing,
I just needed the buns.
And of course, they
go great with Tator Tots.

Then Jacob wanted
an ice cream cone
(snowstorm and all....)
a Neopolitan sugar cone,
no less.

What the heck, throw it in the cart.
Then I needed chocolate.
M & M's were handy.

Pop was on sale
and $93.00 later -
we had our buns.

I guess somedays that is just
the way it goes.

Robyn

Robyn, those egg plates are THE cutest! I don't know if I could wait on that first one or not. I might just have to eat beanie weenies for a week to get it. ;-)

Happy Pink Saturday (or what remains of it!)...

Evening, Robyn. I love those little egg dishes. They're so little! How precious! You've been busy. I hope your dad does well and glad your son got home with no incidents with all your snow. It was almost 76' here today and now we have a cold snap = it's a about 61'
Be a sweetie,
Shelia:)

Hi Robyn,

Geez, the time on the message you left me was 1:38am, what were you doing up so late? Especially with all the running around you did, in the snow no less. I don't drive when there is snow even on the sides of the roads. :o(

Lent started for us on Wed., but I can't seem to get your Toco Pie out of my mind. I can't wait to try it.

Tell your Father to take good care of himself. My sister's 44yr. old daughter-in-law just had a massive heart attack this past Wed. and will now need a heart transplant. All I've been doing is saying prayers for her and checking the posts left on Carring Bridge to see how she is doing. My nephew and his four small children are beside themselves, we all hope that God hears our prayers.

The egg dishes are adorable, and look Pennsylvania Dutch to me.

Hugs

Hello Robyn, I adore the egg cups because they are different. Your post is all about life and it's everyday twists and turns. Such is life, especially with kids. Looks like you take it in your stride. You are a good mom.

Have a great Sunday.

Hugs...Jeanne

Happy Pink Satuday Robyn! The egg dishes are cute!

Glad you survived the white out -- a big snowstorm is coming here tomorrow.

Hope all goes well with your Dad's holter moniter test.

I agree with everyone...the egg plates are adorable. I'm shocked at all the snow everyone is getting. We are having 90 degree weather. I could use some winter weather.

Those are such cute plates, but at $30 a piece, yikes! Well they are darn pretty to look at!

Hope your dad's heart test went well. I have had to wear one of those holter monitors before, and while they are an easy test, it drove me crazy that I couldn't shower before I went back to the doctor to have it removed. My heart was fine though.

Sweet egg plates!
I hope all is well after your Winter storm! I can only imagine how your Dad's heart monitor was recording all of that activity!

Stay warm and well!

I love the egg plates. Truly, those are just awesome! Sloppy Joes are a favorite in my house. My son's name is Joey, so we call them Sloppy Joey's. He always orders them for his Birthday dinner and the first day of school dinner. He is 17 now, a senior, and I bet he will always will!
