BlUE MONDAY & ETC!

It's Blue Monday!

Me & Jacob went back to
White Bear Antiques
to pick up our  winnings.
I was told I won
the Bunny Cookie Jar.
When I went to pick it up
I received a cut glass whiskey bottle instead.
Who am I to complain.
Afterall, it was free.
Jacob received his little brown jug.
This cute little China
was a new addition to the store.
It was marked $120.00.
I'll have to pass.

We stopped at T.G.I. Friday's for lunch.
We had the
 Jack Daniel's Sesame Chicken Strips
as an appetizer.
We couldn't eat this one.
It looks like Miles.

They looked so good,
I had to try them.
I was right.
They are as good as they look.
Mmmmm.
Click on her name above for the recipe.

Did anyone watch this movie?
Let me know what you think....

And Just a Quick Note -
I am approaching my 100th Post!
We all know what that means....

I only have 5 more to go
'til the big give-a-way!

Don't forget to visit Sally
@
for all of the other Blue Monday fun!

Robyn, congrats on your win! That's a darling teaset, but they have new ones that are very similar for a whole lot less money.

I haven't seen "Mama Mia," but it looks good! And what looks even better are those cookies. Oh, wow! Who had the recipe for these jewels? Wait, I better not because they look addictive! ;-)

Thanks for the music. I love Elvis!

Happy Blue Monday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

They should have given you that awesome tea set!

I'd have passed on the china set too. I've already got more stuff than places to put it, so I gotta be careful what I add to the mix.

That little blue and white china set would not be tempting at THAT price!

I saw Mama Mia and we did not care for it at all. (Yawn.)

Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday!

The whoopie pies look so good. :) Loved Mama Mia..we've seen it several times. I thought Meryl Streep was great.

I think the chicken nugget looks more like Barney. lol
I know a lot of people liked the Mama Mia movie but I thought that the less than stellar singing really ruined it. The stage show left me wanting to sing all of the ABBA tunes, not so with the movie.

What a fun day...Congrats on your win. The tea set is so sweet!

Whoopie pies!!...Mmmm

Yes, I've seen Mama Mia, it's great, makes you happy and singing those songs all day long!

You are cracking me up with that chicken strip/nugget! That little tea set is very cute but it's out of my spending range too :0)
My daughter just loves Mama Mia! I haven't seen it yet...

The box is as cute as the china, though not blue. I have three pieces from a tiny set that I inherited. I wonder where they are?

Cute little tea set. Glad you got your winnings. I've not see Mama Mia, but have heard mixed reviews from friends. Either they loved it or they hated it. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. It just seems weird to me to think of Pierce and Meryl singing...lol!

Hi Robyn
Marc and I saw the move and we loved it...both of us. Its fun and uplifting...

Oh my I am going to so have to find that recipe for those whoopers. They look decadent.

The china is lovely but I think at that price I would have to pass too.

Aren't you lucky to win something...even though it wasn't a cookie jar.
Sounds like things are going well..*hugs*.
have a lovely day

I have a tea set identical to that one! It was a gift from my aunt and uncle when I was a kid. I only have a few pieces left from it. I'd love to be able to afford to buy that one.

Happy Blue Monday!

My mother has a Blue Willow China set just like that. She bought it a month before I was born. Has been saving it for my DD. It is over 50 years old. She has had it displayed for years in a cute thing she had made for it. Someone appraised it for $250 a few years ago. Sadly, a lady who lives in the Sr. Apt complex that mom lives in, came in (she drives a hoverround or something but is careless and has a flag thhing in the back) and swung her hoverround too close to the wall and her flag knocked everything off the wall. Busting my mothers BW child's tea set to pieces. Sigh. She just cried. A friend took the pieces and was able to piece much of it back together with glue. But it is ruined. Mom will not let that lady in her apt again! LOL!

Sorry to be a downer on your beautiful blue post! Happy Blue Monday! $120... hummmm.

I saw Mamma Mia and enjoyed it very much - especially seeing all of the textiles on the clothes lines and on the beds. I have that little blue willow tea set, but not in it's original box - pretty pricey!! I didn't pay more than $10 for mine years ago. Have a good week. Sally

Hello Robyn,

I dropped by several days ago to catch up and was pleasantly surprised to see your post. I'm sorry you didn't get the bunny cookie jar :(, the whoopie pies would have fit perfectly! Your whoopies look awesome!
