Foodie Fun!

When it's a long day at work
@ I need a quick supper
I just throw this together.

T-A-C-O   P-I-E!

Brown 1 lb of hamburger, use taco seasonings according to package directions. Meanwhile
preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Pat refrigerated crescent rolls into a pie plate to form a crust.

Crush Tostitoes, Fritoes, or Doritoes into a layer on the bottom of the crust.

Sprinkle shredded cheese such as mild cheddar over the crushed chips.

Place the taco meat into the pie plate.

Frost  the meat with 8 0z. of sour cream.

Cover over the sour cream with more crushed chips.

Top it off with  additional shredded cheese. Then bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Serve with sour cream. shredded lettuce, tomatoes,
black olives, Salsa
whatever you usually have with your tacos.

It's even better the next day !

Enjoy!

Robyn,
That looks really good! I will try it for sure. Hey my friend, since you live in the area, I found the chair via Craigslist at The Lived in Room in Stillwater. It is a really darling little consignment shop with some really nicer quality stuff. It's not on the main drag but not hard to find. Cindy

Just a little note - I add chopped onions to mine - but just not when Jacob's looking. I also mince them very tiny and add it to the taco meat while it is frying - and hopefully he doesn't see it....Robyn

I love the taco pie, I have to try this. My grandsons, 4 and 5 years old rolled their cresent rolls, to eat with chicken nuggets. One had syrup on his roll, the other we sprinkled cinnamon and mix up conf. sugar and water. They thought this was great. I looked around your site, I love the 50 cents plates and the black tray table! You asked me a question about my butler's pantry. I if I win, lol We have an addition, which was a back porch, then the last owners made a walk in pantry, laundry room, which is separate, hubby took the wall down and now it opens up to the back door mud room, then there is another door way. We plan to add a bath. I want a half bath, hubby wants to add a shower, If no shower, I can take part of the room, (all ready made a door way into, and make a small butler's pantry. I want one side to have a top cabinet, for tea ect. bottom to have a small sink, a small fridge, maybe, and room to had a heating element. Now on the other side I hope to get a french door, and build a round glass room for a porch. We added a small porch on the front and still have not knocked the outside wall out, now its like a sleeping porch, I love it with the windows. I have plants rooting there and a day bed and rockers. We are going to open it and add poles and rails. It is a dog trot, with french doors at each end. When the back of the house we will build a screen porch. I want my dream glass enclosed porch off the butlers pantry and dining room! I hope I win, for I have loved sitting on the enclosed porch this winter facing the warm south. Ok this is too long.

Believe me though, it wouldn't be tasting better the next day because they would eat it all that night! lol
