BLUE MONDAY & #99!

Today's Blue Monday
will be a
field trip
to IKEA!
Our nearest Ikea is in Bloomington, MN
near the
Mall of America!

Grab a big yellow shopping bag
and  a trolley cart.

Don't forget your pencil,
order form
 and tape measure.
I thought that this chair was cute.
It comes in several
different slipcovers and it is
only $229.00.
This tray table folds flat
and it is only $89.00.

Showrooms are set up throughtout
the store.
It was so crowded today
that it was hard
to photograph them.

These chandies would be cute
in a sweet girls room,
as well as,
the following dresser.
I would prefer this yellow dresser in my room.

It's cute even inside the drawer.
I thought I uploaded a better picture
of it.  It's also available in red.
I like it's blue companion, too.
(Fitting for Blue Monday.)
The yellow poster bed was
on SALE for $99.00!
You could get this table to match, too.

How about this lamp on the side table?
I don't think so....
Sometimes IKEA has some pretty
weird stuff.

Before the cafeteria you walked through the
Children's area.
It is furniture
and
my favorite
toys.
I would have loved these toys.
Especially the dishes!
Real china, real glassware,
real cookware
and real silverware!

Now it's time for
LUNCH!

You could order the
Swedish Meatballs,
but not us,
we're too fussy.
We'll stick with
the Chicken Fingers & Fries.
Jacob did try the
Ligonberry Juice though.
It reminded him
of
cranberry juice.

We topped it off with this deliciously
rich chocolate cake.

Now we move on to our favorite department...

It was hard to contain myself.

These plates were only 50¢ each.

Guess who?

and the Oscar goes to....
or is it a mummy?
(I see dead people????)

A little Choklad before we go?

I 'd rather have a Nut Goodie
or a
Salted Nut Roll
made right here
in our own
St. Paul, Minnesota!

Happy Blue Monday!

Blue Monday fun!

I've never had the opportunity to visit Ikea--the nearest one is nearly 300 miles away. I think I would have the "gimmees" terribly once I got in there.

Thanks for the tour--from this Ikea-deprived-gal stuck in the corn.

We have an Ikea close to us. I've been twice. It's like an outing to go. And, oh, those Swedish meatballs! YUM! I like the blue and white dishes. Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday.

I wish the white dishes were on sale at our Ikea! I need some new ones. You made me want to take a trip down. My kids really like the funky stuff at Ikea and that's one reason we go down. I love Salted Nut Rolls to and now you've made me hungry! LOL! Cindy

Happy Blue Monday Robyn, I visited Minnesota a couple of times, but it was before "Mall of America" was built but my Daughter got to go and came back so excited that they even had a roller coaster inside, I remember thinking WOW that must be huge, we had nothing like that in England. We did have IKEA though and it looked identical to your one, I also loved the china and glass section. The Blue and Yellow Chests are pretty and the Chandy with the candles is beautiful and the chocolate cake is making me hungry. Kathy.

What a fun tour! I love IKEA, and the first time I've ever been was a few years ago... I couldn't believe all the stuff they had. Looks like you had fun, and those were some great prices. A bed for $99??? WOW! Loved seeing the bargains! Thanks for the tour. Please save a piece of that chocolate cake for me. ;-)

Happy Blue Monday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Thanks so much for the wonderful tour. I've never been to an Ikea, but my daughter has told me all about the one near her. I may have to check it out on my next visit. I think it would totally overwhelm me!

Happy Blue Monday, Robyn!
I can never make a purchase at Ikea because there's too much to choose from and then I don't go back and narrow it down. I love that dresser, too, and it's such a great price!

Thanks for stopping by my blog to wish Trinket a happy birthday! He graciously accepts all good thoughts, and wonders if they come with cookies.

Your field trip looks like so much fun. We visited the twin cities a few years ago, probably before Ikea. I spent a lot of time in Mall of America :-)

My nearest IKEA is three hours away and I can't ever seem to have the time to go on a trip like you did. Maybe that's a good thing. Great deals by the way. Thanks for sharing your field trip.

Good morning Ms. Robyn! Yes ... I lived in South Minneapolis for 24 years, my four children graduated from Washburn! I still have one son in Richfield ... he's a chef at Mystic Lake. I do get back to the Twin Cities from time to time. I was there last August AND if I had known you then, you can bet we would have met for lunch or the Mall or the Sculpture Garden or the Walker or Ikea or something!!! I just missed the State Fair - which I never missed in 24 years! Oh, those french fries in the big paper cups! That booth belonged to a friend. His children and family helped him during those two weeks...

Happy Valentine's Day my friend..
