Tablescape Tuesday!

Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday!
This is the setting that I used for our Christmas Eve dinner.

This was the final setting...

I tried this first....

Here is the top view.
The plates and bowls are from Pottery Barn.
I also have the plates in tan,
which works well with this tablecloth, too.
I'm saving them for a future post....

I also have the salad plates.

This goblet is really special.
(Jacob and I ate an awful lot of Arby's to get them.)
I liked the star-shaped pattern on it.

The flatware is Oneida.
I like the simplicity of it.

The tablecloth is my Mom's.
(She may never get it back. Sorry Mom.)
It is one of my favorites.
It fits my table beautifully.
She bought it at an estate sale.

Here is a close-up of one of the corners.

for the rest of the table scape fun!

Wow, how did I miss that gorgeous set of Arby's glasses?! I have three sets of Arby's glasses, one dark green, and two sets of clear ones with white winter scenes on them. I love them. My brother-in-law is a manager for Arby's and he said the last year they did glasses they hauled dozens of cases of them just from his store to the DI bz no one was buying them!! I would have taken them!! Dishes are my weakness and I love to see how you set a table. Love the star plates (or are they bowls?) too! Cindy

Arby's? Who knew? LOL! You better hide the tablecloth, because your mom will certainly want it back after seeing your precious table!

Love the tablecloth...great find! Maybe you could let Mom borrow it on occasion. :-) Love your star bowls...as everyone has today! This is the second tablescape I've seen today with Arby glasses...I never knew they gave away glasses. Reminds me of the old days when folks used to collect glasses from gas stations or when they bought jelly. Man, I sound old. Great tablescape...thanks for sharing on this TT! Susan

Hey guys! The Arby's glasses are from last year. They didn't do them this year. I also have a few of the one's with the Christmas scene on them because Jacob and his friend had to have them when we stopped there for lunch a few years back. Jacob wanted last years model and when I got it home I thought, Hey that's cute with the star bowls....so we had a few meals so that we could pick up the remaining 10 goblets. They are even rimmed in 24K gold -ooooo! My Mom's tablecloth is washed and stashed in my linen closet in hopes she forgets about it until the next time...

Good Morning Robyn,

Lunch with the girls went great, sorry you couldn't make it.;) Isn't it nice when a business gives away things we adults can appreciate, like your glasses, instead of all those toys for kids, that they play with for a short time and then forget about. Guess we should send them a few little hints.;) I enjoyed your post like I always do when I come to visit. A VERY HAPPY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR to you and your family.

Hugs

You did a great job on the table. That tablecloth is gorgeous.

Like everyone else, I didn't know Arby's still did glasses. As a child, we ate there often. It was the only fast food my mother allowed. I think we collected Pepsi glasses from our meals.

Hey, I still use the small cheese spread jars for drinking. I worked for a man who would bring me in his empties.

Maybe today will be my wash the crystal day...maybe not. :)

Have a Happy New Year.

I love the table setting. I like your flatware very much. It is just like ours. lol I bought it because it reminded me of my grandmother's. Since I'm 72, you know that was a long time ago that I visited my grandmother, but I always liked that pattern and didn't forget it.
