This Bluebird
is happy...
We finally
had the time
to change out
the front planter!
I had the flowers
purchased for weeks...
Jacob brought them
from the back yard
to the front for me.
The pansies had their day...
They just can't take our July heat.
I bought petunias
and geraniums
to add to the ivy.
See, doesn't that look much better?
I've never waited 'til mid-July
to swap the plants out before.
It will be interesting
to see how they do.
My garden is filling in nicely.
The coneflowers are blooming
despite the Bunnies best efforts.
I have a tomato on the vine
with promises of more to follow!
The Scarlet Runner's
have climbed higher than ever!
And this is this week's "Grow Sign" shot!
Look closely,
it's in there somewhere...
This year's first Dahlia!
The Stargazer's are starting to show!
Next week's pix will be spectacular!
It's amazing what a little bit of rain,
and a whole lot of sunshine
can accomplish.

Ahhh, your new flowers are lovely. My favorite..the cone flowers..
Happy Blue Monday..
Beautiful flowers!! I love the dahlia. Should have planted them here.
Your bluebird made me smile. I also loved your flowers and hope the late swap of plants works well for you. Have a terrific day.
Usually summer is brown on the prairie but we've have an abundance of rain and everything is still green.
Your garden is very pretty --
jacob is a handson boy! I don't think I have ever seen him before. Happy Gardening! And as for Brenda...I left you a note on my blog.

Just fabulous garden pics! you have some lovely flowers and the dahlias, oh I need to plant some of those. My pansies have just started to look poorly too. I think our cooler summer has kept them going longer than usual. I am starting to get excited about the Minnesota State Fair! Yahoo, can't wait! Cindy
Lovely flowers - don't they just say, "Welcome"?
I love the bluebird too. It does look happy to be greeting everyone!
Enjoy your Monday!

We have beans finally, and very few tomatoes with promises for more. Let's just hope with have a nice fall so everything can catch up from our slow spring & summer. Your front planter looks great, and maybe your petunias won't have a summer slump!! Sally
Happy Monday Honey!
Your flowers look beautiful. If you want to see a garden that is pitiful, you should see what the heat here in Phoenix has done to my gardens. Just baked even though I keep watering. They are a sad bunch right now. Lots of burnt everything. Love that dahlia, and the beautiful blue bird of happiness. Thanks for sharing. Go Jacob. Have a blessed day, Country Hugs, Sherry
I love coming to visit you in MN. Makes me miss my Richfield, MN son even more though. He will be coming out to Oregon in October for his brother's wedding! Yea!
I love the way Jacob is there for you. I miss those days more than I can say.
Gorgeous flowers! Very nice blues.
Gardening anywhere except Southern Coastal California takes so MUCH patience, I'm finding!
Your garden looks wonderful!
I wish my garden looked that good! Texas has had terribly high temps! But my cone flowers are at least blooming.
Brenda
Fun and obviously you love it.
Pansies are persnicky buggers arent they?

Beautiful! Oh that Dahlia is gorgeous! I couldn't find your "grow" sign at all! Everything looks so healthy and pretty. Pretty little blue bird flying around too. laurie
Nice blue.
Great post!
Well, I found the Grow sign hidden in back of all those tall flowers!! *smile* Your garden has progressed beautifully, Robyn. You put a lot of effort and love into it and you should be proud. The dahlias will be gorgeous once they all start popping out. :-) Sue
Ooh Robyn, how gorgeous!!!!! I love flowers but I just don't have that gardening gene in me. Something about digging in the dirt, getting sweaty... blech.
Justine :o )
I am jealous of your garden! Many of our few flowers have died out some because of the heat.
Ahhh, so pretty! Loving the Dahlia especially!

We are having a major(for us) heat wave and I don't know if my flowers are going to survive. Yours look really good.
Hi Robyn, you won't believe all the caterpillars I have now. They sure are HUNGRY!!! It will be worth it to have all those butterflies, right????
Your flowers are all so pretty Robyn! I love the scarlet runner.
Stay cool!
Hey Robyn! I think next year I'm going to have to move some stuff! LOL! It's already getting so crowded! Me and my type=A. I need it NOW!! RIGHT NOW!!! LOL! oh, and yes - the bigger photos. I found an AMAZING tutorial on a photography blog. The link is: http://photosbykaryn.blogspot.com/2009/03/tutorial-1-making-photos-appear-larger.html
This way you can simply change them in the html format of the post, and you can pick and choose which pictures you'd like to expand, AND you don't have to mess with sidebars, and what not! SUPER EASY, I'm soooooo happy I found it!
my kids have a little blue bird thing...I did not know it had a motion sensor on it, and when I went into the garage to work on my cabinet...I nearly crapped my shorts when it started to chirp and move around!!! That's one thing I will NEVER forget! lol
it is all looking wonderful my friend! I have to ditch some of my pansies too..they got the caterpillars on them and are looking a little on the awful side now. I will have my FF post up later tonight..can't wait to see what everyone else is doing!
I love your cone flowers and petunias - you just can't beat them! Linda
Look how grown up Jacob's getting, driving the tractor! Our garden is finally looking a little less sad, with our sun, although the monsoons today have flattened some of our leafy plants. I like your flowers!
