A Blue & Met Monday!

It's time for me to celebrate!
Two Met Monday
projects were completed!

Actually, this was Gramma's Birthday Cake.
Have you ever had a cake from
Sam's Club? They are very good.
(I chose this cake 'cuz the frosting was Blue.)

This driveway has seen a better day.
It was patched and sealed,
and re-patched
and re-sealed.
I've never had an asphalt driveway before,
we've always had concrete in the past.

It was time for it to go.

In a matter of two days,
the crew removed the old driveway,
set up the forms and rebar,
poured and prepared the driveway.
I'm excited! It really looks so fresh and new!
Now we just need a little rain
for the lawn to fill back in.
(I may have to breakdown and buy some sod.)

While the garage was free,
it gave me ample room
to refinish the bench from the front porch.
I was so pleased with the bench
from the patio, that I decided to stain
this one with the same Sage stain.

Let's go check out all of the other
ideas today!

Robyn, Your bench looks so good in that sage green color. Pray for some rain to help your lawn. Did you add some seed to help it fill in? Weather here is cool now, was 69 today and for OH in July that is really weird. Feels good, tho, like fall- my fav time of year. Hope your driveway stays clean and free of oil spots.

The driveway looks fabulous. I do like a concrete driveway better than asphalt too. The sage green stain on the bench is just gorgeous. Love it, so pretty. Hugs, Marty

I bet you will enjoy your new driveway. And that color on the bench is wonderful with your brick. Now, the cake is another thing - I have an aversion to blue frosting. I don't know why because I know it tastes the same as other frosting - just can't eat it!! Have a great week. Sally

I love the sage stain it is so calming and outdoor(ish), and looks like a place you would want to sit for awhile. Thank you so much for sharing. Please stop by and read my manic Monday. Oh Robyn! We need to do this to our driveway so badly! It's asphault, and just a mess. Pitting and cracking, and urgh - UGLY! I'm gonna show this to Scott and tell him, SEE! LOL! :) Thanks for sharing, and I got a Sony a200 DSLR camera with a 18-70mm zoom lense. I wish that I were in better spirits and felt like playing around with it - but I don't. I'll let you know more about it as I get more familiar!

I'm stopping over from Vivienne's. Your blog is cute. I hate our asphalt driveway too and would love to replace it with concrete one day. Yours looks nice!
