Soft & Fuzzy
As sweet as can be ~
Lamb's Ears
Grown mostly for it's foilage,
it does however grow a spike of a lavandar flower.
Don't you wish you could just feel this soft
fuzzy wuzzy leaf?
They grow just about anywhere...
From zones 4 -10
& then some.
I guess the sweet litte things
can get quite invasive.
So if you plant them ~
Keep that in mind.
Also, they like it a little bit dry.
If you overwater them ~
they can get mushy
and not so cute.
You need to trim them up a bit
to keep them looking pretty.
Also, I read that if you
don't allow them to flower,
they retain a neater mounding shape.
Otherwise, they like to
split and separate and die out
in the middle.
I thought that you would also like
to take a peek at my
Geraniums.
And these sweet little beauties.

happy outdoor wednesday, thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures. love lambs ear.
I love my lambs ear and have divided several times. Your geraniums looks so healthy and bright.
I have never hear of lambs ear. Your geraniums are so pretty.
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
I love Lambs Ears but mine aren't multiplying so last year I bought more. Got home and later when they started blooming they weren't Lambs Ears but Lychness. Apparently the tags had been switched and their foliage is similar. So this year I asked a clerk if they had Lambs Ears and they did so I asked her to set one aside for me - and commented that it looked darker than mine and she said probably where it was sitting. Got it home and it is Lambs Ears but a dwarf. Didn't know there was one. I thought about taking it back because she didn't inform me of this but decided no - keep it for a different kind. So you see I'm not having much luck with them at all.
Mornin Robyn!
Checking up on you today!
Things are looking pretty awesome on your end of town! Looking for some sun to pick me up!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Kathi :)
You look like you're having so much fun in that garden of yours! Great plants. I want some geraniums myself. Happy Wednesday, Robyn! ;-)
Your pictures are lovely. You were actually able to capture the fuzz on the lambs ears. Very Nice. Have a great day.
Thanks for the education on the lamb's ear. I didn't really know anything about it. I saw some recently in a planter and had to rub their fuzzy wuzzy little leaves. I'd love to have some in my garden. I have a spot that doesn't get much water so I might try it if I can find some. I'm inspired to go hunting around our local garden center!
Oh, lovely lambs ears. When we started our garden 20 years ago we had lots of it. Now every place is too shading and it is all gone. I love it when ever I see it. so soft. Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
What beautiful flowers! I love lamb's ear and completely forgot about it this year! What a shame! It is a delightful plant! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
PS...Thanks for the super sweet and kind comment on my post today!
I have always tried to have lamb's ear. An all-time favorite of mine. And I have a patch of it now. I'm glad you told me about not letting them flower. I'm getting out there with the clippers before they do!

Hello Robin, I love your pretty lambs ears. They are aptly named. Your geraniums are so pretty as well. Thanks for the info about the lambs ears too. I might try planting some.

:-) They do! They do look like lambs ears - complete with the fuzziness :-)
Oh and I still have to try planting in a big pot with a variety of flowers. It'll really makes a difference to our bland outdoor :-).
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

Pretty geraniums, I like your little bunny rabbit too. Happy OW.
You really have beautiful plants, Robyn. Why isn't rosemarie growing there? I thought they like the cold weather. They thrive in the winter here too. I would love to visit you! I can't believe you can walk through the MS river there how interesting. It is so deep here...Christine

Lamb's ear is new to me, they are really cute!
I always enjoyed looking at geranums, but I do not like the smell.
Thanks for the warning about movers; I hope we get through this If not, I'm blogging about it!
Hey Robin, lambs ears remind me of my kids, it was their fave plant when they were tiny. Your geraniums look lovely, I really think Red Geraniums in terracotta pots are the best, happy weekend, Kathy.
Robyn,
How are you today? What's new? What's Jacob doing for the summer?
