FOOD, FLOWERS & FUN

Enjoy some delicious cool cherries.
I planned on baking a pie or tart
but they were gone before I knew it.

Meanwhile, we placed some ribs on the grill.
I used a dry rub this time.
Just a little smoked paprika, onion & garlic powder,
sugar, S&P, and Oregano...No real recipe -
just what tasted good as I added it.

I wish you could smell these - Mmmmm!
I supposed the sugar caramelized just a bit...
(But that is my favorite part.)

I couldn't pass up a good party!
Marty is hosting the
First Ever Cloche Party!!!

Here is the cloche
Out in the Sunporch....

This one was from PB.

This one is in the livingroom...
and it was from (guess where...)
Homegoods.

This one holds my precious little wren nest & eggs.

Remember these from Gerten's Greenhouse?

We tried to make our own.....
With tomato cages and chicken wire.

What do you think?
Did they turn out okay?

The lamium are in full bloom!
It was even hard to get a
good pic of them -
they're just glowing!

Even clovers look cute in this insulator vase.

&
&

That's where I'm headed!!!!

Robyn

The food looks sooooo good. I am really hungry. The flowers and our garden are glorious. So pretty. I absolutely love all of your cloches. You have some beautiful displays. I think my favorite has to be the one you made with the chicken wire and tomato cage. I had never seen these the wire ones before this party and I am so intrigued by them, and love them. Yours turned out fabulous. Love it. Thanks for joining the party. This is such fun. Hugs, Marty

What a great post!! The food looks good, plus the 'food for the eye' is great in all of your cloches. You did an amazing job on the tomato cage cloche - as good as or better than the greenhouse ones!! Sally

Robyn- you did what I did- made my own chicken wire cloches!!! Mine are more miniature. I topped one with a doorknob that I found in the thrift store.and the other with an old lock. Yours is too cute and I love that you used the tomato cage as a support system. Mine is not wrapped around at all. I will post pics for the next cloche party. What size chicken wire did you use? I had a devil of a time trying to find 1/2 inch hex wire.Glad I ran into this today. I've been checking the later posts since I got home. There were some cute ideas out there that were more innovative than others, and zI think yours definitely ys one of them! hugs, Suet

Love your cloches. And the chicken wire one turned out fabulous. And I love the insulator vase one too. Reminds me of my dad. He worked for Pacific Bell & used to bring them home to us all the time. But do I have any now? Nope. Wish I did.

I think you did a great job making the wired cloches. I bet the rabbits aren't too happy with it though! Happy cloche party!
