It's Poppy Time!
We have to enjoy them while they last...
A few opened the other day,
the rest of them this morning.
(It rained all afternoon.)
Not that I complaining, I'm just saying,
it would be nice if the Poppies would
stick around for a few more days...
I'm off to visit
for
Outdoor Wednesday!
Robyn
Hi Robyn...I love poppies! Always make me think of The Wizard of OZ. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday Robyn! Your poppies are gorgeous! So vibrant!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your photo.~ Susan
Lovely.
ReplyDeleteRobyn,
ReplyDeleteThose are just fabulous! We got rain last night too, although we needed it getting a bit dry. I do love those poppies, Cindy
Poppies are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI have not had any on our garden yet but it is something I aspire to have.
The color is worth it for even a few days, I think.
Yours are great.
Morning, Robyn, those poppies are GORGEOUS! Even if they only last for a little while, their beauty is worth it. I feel that way about azaleas too.
ReplyDeleteRobyn, I so love poppies. Yours are really gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I have the most gorgeous red poppy; and with the rain it didn't last long enough this year to get a picture. Enjoy yours while they last. Sally
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, love your poppies...they are one of my favorite flowers. Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBarb
beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the inside of those poppies! I love how you were able to shoot them so close like that!
ReplyDeleteMy poppies have already bit the dust. Enjoy them while you can.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
what a great color!!! I don't have any poppies anymore..I once tried black double poppies...they were nice...but very short lived here!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing sweet pretty flowers and happy OW. Have a great day too
ReplyDeletePoppies are a favorite flower -- your pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh Robyn, your poppies are so beautiful. I love the vibrant colors. Are they orange with a purple center? You are right about the plates, very retro indeed!....Christine
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty poppies.....Love the bright color! Send rain this way....we are almost to dust bowl status...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe poppies are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love poppies also. But, I agree, they don't last long enough. Neither do peony's.
ReplyDeletePoppies are so pretty. I have tried to paint them several times. For some reason, I've never had them in my garden but I should! A friend has a whole field of them mixed with blue bachelor's buttons... they are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love poppies...these are so pretty..they must be like my tiny little violets...they bloom only about 2 weeks, once a summer, and then they are gone.
