BLUE MONDAY!

                        Welcome to Blue Monday!

An afternoon of antiquing with Jacob is never a dull moment.
Of course, he brought along his geiger counter.
He likes to test dishes and glassware for radiation.
Apparently, dishes that are glazed with oranges
and reds prior to 1973 are contaminated.
Click above to read more about it.
Others in the store were fascinated with his
contraption.  They wanted him to
test this and test that.

I fell in love with this Roseville pitcher.

They were having an Anniversary Sale
at
White Bear Antiques
25% off everything in the store!
I got it for $16.75!!!

We entered the drawing above
and chose our three favorites
from this selection.
And Score!
We both won!
Jacob won his first choice
The Little Brown Jug!
And I won
the
Rabbit Cookie Jar!

  2. You were quite fortunate that day! Alas, today no so much. You linked in crooked--sideways--upside down--? The link does not work. Check it and see. Then link again. How did I get here? Hey! I'm part sleuth! Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday.

  3. Wow, I want one of those geiger counters - it would really come in handy. I knew about the radiation in Fiesta Ware, but didn't realize the oranges and reds were any worse than the other colors. Thanks for the lesson. And Happy Blue Monday!
