Mosaic of Miles! & Blue Monday & Etc.

Today is
 Mosaic Monday
and
Blue Monday!

As you know, Jacob is a collector
and this is a
blue porcelain insulator
from his collection.
It is from the Locke company
and it was most likely
used in the 1930's
for low voltage lines.
This particular one is probably
worth anywhere from $6.00 to  $15.00.

Here is my first Mosaic.

Visit Sally & Mary
for more cool posts today!

Jacob took me for a drive this weekend,  and we went to our usual
White Bear Lake Antique store,
and our favorite Garden Store.
I'll show  you more photos from that excursion
later this week.
Jacob took the photos on his G1 phone,
(and I need to get them from him).
We popped into Culver's
for a quick bite, and lo and behold
who should we bump into -
Grampa!

Grampa was all smiles
to see his Grandson driving!

  6. Miles is adorable! I love seeing dogs on blogs -- instant smiles. :-)

When I was a child, I thought all families used insulators as paperweights; my Dad had LOTS.

But no blue ones! Great color, thanks.

that insulator is a beautiful colour of blue! I have had a couple of them...be careful...one dropped on my big toe years ago and I had to go to the doctors 24 hours later in pain and he had to heat up a paperclip and get through my nail to release the damage...whew...it was sore!

Your mosaic is so good. Your puppies are so precious. I will have to try that too.
    have a lovely day

  28. Hi Robyn,

I couldn't believe it when I saw your comment on my blog just now, I got on here to send a hello to you, you've been on my mind. LOL

I've been very busy myself, giving the bird houses in our yard new paint jobs, some took 4 coats of paint. Then there is my sewing projects, my machine broke last year so I was using my daughter's, which turned out to be worse than mine. I had to buy a new one, so now I've been sewing everything that was 'on hold'. These past few days have been spent making new flower arrangement for church and trying to clean up the church garage where the flowers are kept. I'm afraid I've barely read my emails every night before colapsing for the night.

We've been getting a lot of rain, which has put a lot of our outside projects behind, I haven't even bought our annuals for the yard yet, but hope to do that this Saturday, which is suppose to be a nice day.

I have to agree with the others, Miles is a cutie and I love the color of the insulator. Give Jacob a hug from me and tell him I hope he enjoys his Summer.

    Hugs
    'D'
